Track of the week: Miller Blue – Rhythm in the Dance

Feeling very privileged to have had a heads up about this one, from Miller Blue.

Producer and singer songwriter Benjamin Joseph Edwards known as Miller Blue grew up in a small village in England, whilst growing up, he went on a musical journey of self-development, branching away from his roots. Miller creates a beautiful, electronic synthesis, he has forged an undeniable and truly bewitching musical identity.

Noting influences such as Frank Ocean, James Blake and Erykah Badu, Miller Blue’s sound proudly stands between a flux of genres incorporating RnB, hip-hop and jazz resulting in an overflow of soul. Miller has already captivated listeners and tastemakers alike such as Huw Stephens and Phil Taggart as well as Jamz Supernova.

Following on from his most recent release Marigold, Miller Blue presents Rhythm in the Dance, a soulful upbeat track about focusing on the joy in your life rather than dwelling on the bad, talking about the track, Miller says “Rhythm In The Dance, to me, is a reflection of how I think it’s massively important to find joy in day-to-day living regardless of the many non-idealistic situations that many of us find ourselves in. It’s not me saying, be happy all the time, as this quite frankly cannot be the case but simply try to focus on the good side of things that you’re blessed with and spend less time worrying about things you cannot change.”

Miller Blue is preparing to release his self-produced debut EP Cotton later this year, which promises to demonstrate the already visible compassion and courageous honesty that Miller shares in his music.
